Castle of Air Books founders noticed books were becoming less, and less enjoyable. When our library cards were filling with half finished loans, we knew we had to do something.
It’s a big blue and brown world out there. Publishing is easier than ever, but finding the right book is harder than a crossover turnabout highway junction with 8 lanes. So why publish with Castle of Air?
As writers, we believe in good stories, that give readers good feelings. Well. Not always good feelings. Sometimes we want the feelings that claw at our hearts like deranged stray cats. As readers, we will leave food out for them every night if we have to.
As publishers, we want our authors to have a real shot at being heard and felt. We want to give readers a place to get lost in, and we want authors who want to create those places for our readers.
Acquisitions
C. Nolan accepts Literature, Romance and Fantasy submissions. She loves unhinged main characters, unconventional action, and thoughtful prose. Novels should be engaging, entertaining, and meaningful. Stories should have (figurative) knives placed throughout them. She does not require a happy ending, but needs a resolution. Favorites include: The Guest, Birnam Wood, True Biz, Luster, Vladimir, Normal People, Less.
